The Simpsons will no longer air on Foxtel in Australia.
The long-running American comedy show has been broadcast on the pay television service since 1995.
But as of 2023, Australians will only be able to watch the series if they are subscribed to streaming platform Disney+.

Disney+ secured the rights to The Simpsons in Australia last year and has been airing new episodes since late 2021.
Foxtel will bid farewell to the show by airing 25-day non-stop marathon of The Simpsons episodes.
Foxtel customers will also lose Family Guy, Bob’s Burgers, Futurama and American Dad from January 1.

From 2023, the full library of The Simpsons and other animated shows will be available on the Disney+ app, which can be found on set-top box devices.
Channel Seven still retains free-to-air rights to some of the older seasons of The Simpsons, which air on 7Flix.
The critically acclaimed series was created by Matt Groening for the Fox Broadcasting Corporation.
